Plot summary
It is 1978, and a robbery at a bank has gone wrong. Two thieves, 'Scorpion' Joe Clay and Lenny, drive out into the desert with Vivian Fontaine held against her will. Vivian's reason for being at the bank was a loan she hoped would rescue her family's farm. An attempt of hers to get away from the men has already failed. While she quietly stretches a hand toward a switchblade lying on the car floor, a shot from somewhere outside blows out one of the tires. Joe cuffs her to the steering wheel and steps out to confront whoever fired. The man who then approaches the car, Wyatt Moss, informs her she is standing on his private property.
