Plot summary
A meteorite enters the atmosphere and nearly strikes Rayquaza, the guardian of the ozone layer. It lands in a polar zone and releases two egg-shaped objects, one of which becomes the alien Pokémon Deoxys. Rayquaza descends to fight the intruder, and the clash destroys a research site. Spheal, Sealeo and Walrein frighten a boy named Tory, leaving him afraid of Pokémon. Researchers carry off a green crystal found with the alien. Four years on, Ash, May, Brock and Max arrive in LaRousse City, a high-tech place patrolled by block robots, and meet Tory, now a loner. Healed beneath the sea, Deoxys sets out to recover the green crystal that Tory's father and Yuko are studying at a laboratory, and a mysterious purple aurora appears.
