Plot summary
Mack is a sports journalist in New York City who devises elaborate plays to arrange hook-ups for herself and her friends. Her circle includes her best friend Adam, her co-worker Brannagan, and Brannagan's brother Little. Mack enjoys her life but longs for a serious relationship. She hopes to find one with Nick, a war correspondent new to the newspaper. The two sleep together, and she is disappointed when he treats their encounter as a one-night stand. Mack persuades Adam to help her win Nick over. Together with Brannagan and Little, they study Nick's habits and preferences and come up with a plan they call The Flurry.
