Plot summary
In the 17th century, Captain Bart brings his ship into a London harbor and receives a new commission from the British Admiralty: capture Henry Morgan, the famed privateer who has turned to piracy and now stops British vessels in the Caribbean. Bart gathers former shipmates for his crew and sets sail. A young woman named Meg has stowed away aboard and is taken along. Morgan holds the Spanish-controlled island of Tortuga, and because attacking it would anger the Spanish government, Bart must face the pirate directly. Meg goes ashore at nearby Jamaica, where she seeks the attention of the colonial governor while Bart pursues his quarry.
