Plot summary
Allie Adams is a photographer, and she has been helpful to Sam Acosta, a detective with the Willow Haven police, in the first two murder cases he took on after joining the force. Neil Khan, celebrated for his murder mysteries, has written and directed a new play that is opening, and Allie is backstage on opening night when the body of the show's leading lady is found, dead before the curtain went up. Acosta launches an investigation into the killing and invites Allie to assist him unofficially on the case.
