Plot summary
Dr. Peter Ross is a psychiatrist who puts a radical new therapy to the test on five of his patients, each of them troubled by a different fear: snakes, heights, enclosed spaces, crowded places and men. His patients then begin to be murdered, and every killing follows the pattern of the fear that patient came to him with. The deaths bring Ross under suspicion, and the assailant remains unknown.
