Plot summary
The forest is where Perri, a young female squirrel, spends her youth, and a marten is the natural enemy she must stay clear of. Her life there is divided into four seasons: the Time of Learning, the Time of Beauty, the Time of Peace and Together Time. Through them she comes to know Porro, a male squirrel, who becomes her mate.
