Plot summary
Arafat is a young Palestinian-American man who is lonely, sexually frustrated and desperate for companionship. He agrees to marry Amani, an Israeli who needs a Green Card, so that she can stay in the country and he will have a wife. Arafat's parents learn of the marriage and oppose it, and they work to divorce their son from the woman he has married. The traditions of the families on both sides come into the argument over the match, and Arafat and Amani have to weigh what the families they come from expect of them against what they each want from the marriage.
