Plot summary
Alice Ovitz has loved Woody Allen's films since she was fifteen, and a large poster of him hangs above her bed, answering her in lines of dialogue from his movies. Her sister Hélène is married to the man Alice loved, and Alice, thirty now, runs the Paris pharmacy her father Isaac retired from; she is convinced that films can cure all sorts of complaints. Her family, including her mother Nicole, keeps parading unmarried men past her, and her father Isaac insists on finding her a husband. Two suitors, Vincent and Victor, are in view, and Victor works as an alarm technician.
