Plot summary
The Pulimala forest yields a corpse that the police first take for superstar Ravi Varman. The dead man is his driver, Bullet Rajan, and the actor has vanished. ASP Vincy Abraham leads the inquiry, and Ravi tells her officers he was having an affair with the actress Hiranmayi. Rajan had driven the pair to a farmhouse and then gone to Pulimala to meet someone. A postmortem shows that Rajan died in a manner staged to look like a heart attack; the number 26 is marked on his toes, and a two-edged weapon, the Bull's eye dagger, is recovered. The officers decide the killer is Iruttan Chacko, just out of prison. Vincy's estranged father, the retired officer Abraham Mathew Mathan, known as Paappan, is appointed by SP Bhaskar Shenoy to look into the case alongside her.
