Plot summary
Three women face the question of marriage, and none of them finds it simple. Rajkumar loves his colleague Kavya, but the wealthier family she comes from makes him hold back from marriage; he asks her to wait until he has built something of his own. Lakshmi meets suitor after suitor, and her father rejects every one of them, unwilling to accept a son-in-law of modest means. Mukundan, one of the men who comes to see her, likes her, and his family refuses the match over her economic standing. Susheela's family has spent years hunting a match, and the men who consider her point to her looks and her unconventional job; wearied and withdrawn, she keeps to herself, and only her colleague Sathish understands her.
