Plot summary
He comes to in a pit filled with dead bodies, unable to recall even his own name. A mute woman helps him climb out and leads him to a house, where four other survivors are just as lost: a German man and three Americans, none able to remember their lives. The mute woman does not understand English. The group searches the house and the surrounding woods for clues to their identities. A calendar marks an approaching date that none of them can explain. Outside, corpses hang chained to trees, and infected, zombie-like people stalk the forest. Suspicion grows among them, and the man must work out whether one of the strangers is a killer or whether he himself is the murderer.
