Plot summary
Eddie Schneider is a creative director at a New York advertising agency, where his pitches win every account he takes on, and he is set to marry Judy Birk, the daughter of his boss. Beneath that polished life he hides an addiction to sex and a habit of lying, and he tells himself his affairs harm nobody. After a big pitch he learns that Judy's brother Anthony raped Angelina, a colleague and friend of his. The Birk family brings in a top lawyer to clear Anthony, and Anthony, who holds proof of Eddie's affairs, demands that Eddie testify on his behalf. To keep his career and his wedding, Eddie agrees.
