Plot summary
Thirty-two years old, Damien Thorn has run his late uncle's international conglomerate for seven years and has embraced his unholy lineage. When the American ambassador to the United Kingdom is found dead, Damien is appointed to the post, the same one his adoptive father, Robert Thorn, once held. He means to halt the Second Coming of Christ. Father DeCarlo, a priest who has observed Damien from a distance since his adoptive father's death, recovers the seven daggers of Megiddo, the only earthly weapons able to harm the Antichrist, from the fire-damaged Thorn Museum in Chicago. Six other priests join him in a plan to kill Damien and to find the Christ child.

Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Omen III: The Final Conflict (1981)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Stuntman Vic Armstrong performed the backwards one-hundred-foot fall from the bridge in the film; in Guinness World Records 2005 he described it as the most frightening stunt of his career, and most of his falls were less than seventy feet.
- Rather than return to Subiaco, the crew reused footage from the first Omen film for the monastery exterior; stock footage stood in for the Ambassador's walk to the embassy, and the White House shots were taken from Superman II with its visual effects subtracted.
- Lisa Harrow said the death of the first priest in the television studio, where her character Kate Reynolds interviews Damien, was one of the hardest sequences to shoot, taking over two weeks to get right.
- Jerry Goldsmith made no pronounced reference to his "Ave Satani" theme from The Omen in this score; instead he wrote an all-new theme for Damien, introduced over the opening credits and emphasising robust tragedy over the horrific sound of the earlier films.
