Plot summary
The ASD Band is made up of four autistic musicians in Toronto. Ron can name the weekday for any date, Rawan sings at a high pitch and uses makeup to express herself, Spenser drums with a taste for punk, and Jackson is drawn to the 1950s. Ron, Rawan and Jackson first shared a stage at a World Autism Awareness Day concert for the charity Jake's House, and Spenser joined the group afterward. After a planned first live show was canceled, the band released covers of pop and rock songs instead. Now Maury, their musical director, takes the band from garage sessions into the recording studio, where each member brings compositions of their own for an album, with a public show as the goal.
