Plot summary

Jake Peterson is a dedicated vice unit detective in Phoenix, and his strong will and sense of duty have taken a toll on his marriage to Rebecca. His father, Bill Peterson, is a veteran of the same unit, and Jake works under the weight of his father's reputation. Paul DeLucca is his partner. After a fellow detective is killed, Jake and Bill take the case as their own, determined to find whoever is responsible. The trail leads them to a drug ring that moves narcotics from Mexico into Phoenix, Arizona, and the operation proves larger and more dangerous than they had understood.
