Plot summary
Jerry Logan drives a cab in Las Vegas. A man he takes to the airport pays him a hundred dollars and leaves behind a million dollars, money that Al Chambers, a casino manager tied to the mob, skimmed from his boss, August Gurino. The theft is discovered, and Chambers, facing a death sentence if Gurino notices the shortage, sends killers to get the cash back. The passenger is killed, but Jerry drives off with the money. Chambers then brings in David Eckhart, an expensive contract killer, who traces Jerry to his home. Jerry slips away with the cash and leaves the city by train.
