Plot summary
A young woman's body turns up on a lumber truck in Minnesota, and Detective Walter Marshall believes she leapt from the vehicle while running from whoever held her. Elsewhere, a former judge named Michael Cooper runs his own operation aimed at catching a child predator, and it ends with the abduction of Lara, the girl in his care. Lara's earrings carry a tracker, and Marshall uses it to find her and other young women held in a mansion belonging to Simon Stulls, a man who appears to have an intellectual disability. Officers take Simon into custody and work to establish whether he had a hand in the abductions.
