Plot summary
Life Beyond is a study run out of San Francisco by a research scientist whose findings make national news. She has shown that people can be followed into the afterlife, and participants are offered a painless death with proof that something follows. Rose and Teddy are two strangers in New York who both signed up, and they end up sharing a rental car for the drive to their appointments. Each keeps secrets the other knows nothing about.
