Plot summary
In the surf town of Ventura, California, JD's prized surfboard is taken by a surfer from Los Angeles. JD gathers his friends, a group of teenagers, and brings in Mike Mooney, the local surf hero and a veteran surfer. The teenagers and the older surfer set out together from Ventura on a road trip to the San Fernando Valley, in the Los Angeles area, where they intend to track the stolen board down and take it back.
