Plot summary
King Elijah still watches over his daughter as if she were small, and he refuses to hear of Prince Edward, the prince Barbara intends to marry. At her sixteenth birthday party, while the guests are distracted, the postman Joyce takes the throne and declares that he will marry Barbara himself. She runs from the palace into the forest, where Bogey, the most dangerous robber of the kingdom, and his friend the rabbit seize her and carry her to their hideout. There Barbara meddles in everything, sets her own rules and demands that they escort her to Edward's palace. Joyce, meanwhile, tells the king that Barbara has been kidnapped.
