Plot summary
In a forest, Bob the beaver keeps a house of his own, while Max, a cat with no shelter, dreams of becoming famous. Caught in the rain, Max finds Bob's home and decides to stay, and the two, different in every way, become friends. Under a tree they find an energy source, and three aliens, Zaca, Zuc and Zic, arrive when their spaceship crashes. The visitors explain that the energy is what they need to power their ship. A second band of aliens, the Scratchers, trail them to Earth, and Bob and Max set out to help their new friends.
