Plot summary
Jake Emory accidentally makes a new friend when an experiment goes wrong, and the troubled town he lives in is plunged into chaos. The new friend is a strange, mischievous little dinosaur that evolves rapidly every day, which makes keeping it as a pet secret harder and harder. Jake's friends and Abbey Tansy are let in on what he is hiding. Together they learn that other people in the town are interested in the creature too. Who is looking for it is a deeper mystery than what it is, and a conspiracy could have a major impact on the small town.
