Plot summary
Brian Herzlinger is 27, broke, and from New Jersey, with hopes of making movies. He has held a crush on Drew Barrymore since the second grade, when he watched her in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. More than 20 years on, he decides to chase a date with the actress and to record the attempt on camera. He funds the project with $1,100 won on a game show, where the winning answer was Drew Barrymore. The camera comes from Circuit City under a 30-day return policy, which leaves him one month to finish the documentary before the equipment must go back to the store.
