Museo (2018) on Netflix

Plot summary

Mexico City, 1985. Juan Núñez is well into his thirties, has not finished his veterinary degree and still lives at his parents' home, where he is being fitted for his late uncle's Santa suit. His friend Benjamín Wilson is caring for his ill father and wants to spend Christmas Eve with him, perhaps their last together. Watching the news, Juan learns that the National Museum of Anthropology is about to undergo renovations and calls Benjamín: the job has to happen that night. The museum holds Mayan, Mixtec and Zapotec pieces, and a childhood visit with his father left Juan with a memory of the Tlaloc monolith. On Christmas Eve the two friends go in and carry off 140 artifacts.
