Plot summary
Over the twelve days before Christmas in 1921, children vanished near the woods outside the town, and a girl was found there in a traumatized state; she died of her injuries. Just before Christmas in 1992, five more children disappeared, and their bodies were discovered in the same woods. The locals, believing they had caught the killer, hanged a woman, and as she died she cursed the town, saying that Frau Perchta, the Christmas Witch, would come one day to avenge her. Twenty-five years on, the disappearances have become a local myth, and the town wonders whether the curse was ever real. Then the children start going missing again.
