Plot summary
Hanzo Hasashi is an assassin held in a Deacon City jail, and police captain Jackson Briggs brings him a proposal. Briggs names two criminals, Reptile and Baraka, and says he believes both work for a man called Shang Tsung. Baraka had recently killed Johnny Cage, an actor who became an undercover officer, in a fight. Briggs wants Hasashi to enter Tsung's tournament and kill the two men there, and he offers Hasashi his freedom in return. Hasashi answers that he placed himself in jail and can leave whenever he chooses.

- Kevin Tancharoen made the short for about $7,500, shooting it over two days in April 2010 with borrowed cameras and taking two months to produce everything.
- Nobody was ever meant to see it. Tancharoen shot the short purely as a pitch to Warner Bros. for his reimagined Mortal Kombat, then made it public on YouTube by accident.
- Even the cast did not agree on what they had made: Michael Jai White's representatives said he believed the shoot was an advertisement for the coming 2011 Mortal Kombat game, while Jeri Ryan said she appeared as a favour to a friend and called it a pitch for a film.
