Moonshot (2022) on Netflix

Plot summary

In 2049, Walt makes coffee on a college campus and has applied 37 times to the student program that sends people to Mars, without luck. At a party he meets Sophie, whose boyfriend Calvin already lives on Mars, and he falls for Ginny, a student who ships out to the red planet the very next morning. Weeks later Sophie arrives at his cafe in tears, because Calvin has signed on for a longer stay. Walt urges her to buy a seat on the next launch and then talks her into helping him slip aboard, passing himself off as Calvin so that nobody asks who he is.
