Plot summary
Carol Peters left an executive job at Yahoo! eight years ago to work on environmental and animal causes, and she now lives day to day in Seattle. A friend from her old workplace, Dennis, urges her to sit for an interview at a dating site, and an interviewer there calls her the most average person on Earth. A supercomputer that has become sentient hears this, and the next morning it speaks to her from her television, phone and rice maker, using the voice of the celebrity she likes, to calm her. The intelligence is deciding whether to save, enslave or wipe out humanity, and it will study Carol as its test subject for three days. It clears her student debt, puts ten million dollars in her bank account, and wants her to try to win back her ex-boyfriend, George.
