Time Freak (2018) on Netflix

Plot summary

Debbie breaks up with Stillman, and the physics student refuses to accept that it is over. He and his best friend Evan go back through the relationship, sorting days into the ones that went well and the ones that did not, hunting for the cause. In the middle of it, Stillman works out how to build a time machine. He and Evan travel to the day he and Debbie met, and Stillman means to do it all differently. The last text Debbie sent him is his gauge of whether it has worked. They redo a movie date with Evan, Debbie, Carly and Ryan, where Stillman's favorite film is mocked and he takes it badly. When a moment goes wrong they go back and run it again.
