Plot summary

Three separate groups receive a video camera on the doorstep and begin recording, each under the impression that a mysterious competition could pay out money. Tom films family life at home with his wife Emmy. Beth is a bored and isolated college student who sees the camera as a way to fill her free time. Leonard is a mother's boy, and he wears clown makeup he believes will steal the scene. The groups carry the labels The Family, The Woman and The Clown. They are largely unaware of what is really happening, and they are shocked when instructions arrive that order them to keep filming, on pain of death.
