Plot summary
Government researchers Alex, Joanne, Frank, Larry and Rob carry out reanimation experiments at a secret underground nuclear facility in a remote desert location. Their aim is to create a superhuman, and their subject is a specimen called Thor, recovered from a suicide in the desert. The attempts to bring him back unleash an uncontrollable creature, and the facility's door is sealed from within, leaving no way out. The next morning Alex calls Stockton, who once oversaw the project, at his house. The exchange turns into an argument, and Stockton then chooses to fly out to the outpost, bringing along his son Scott, daughter Wendy and her boyfriend Mark.
