Plot summary
Antoinette Vitrini is a volcanologist who believes a long-dormant volcano lies underground beneath Miami, Florida. When an offshore rig catches fire, the flames confirm her theory. Catastrophic amounts of magma are pumping toward the city from below. Antoinette and her sister Emily set out to expose an illegal oil drilling scheme, which they say would set off a super-volcano under the city.
