Plot summary

Tom Bishop is a husband and father who receives a diagnosis of terminal brain cancer. Rather than prepare his family for life without him, he decides to find someone else to take his place: a new husband for his wife Valentine and a father for their daughter. Without telling Valentine, he sets up an online dating profile in her name. Reading through it, and thinking about the woman the profile describes, he realizes how little he knows about the person he married. Tom sets out to spend the time he has left getting to know Valentine again, and to remember what drew him to her when they first met.
