Plot summary
Timothy McVeigh is a quiet army veteran who keeps to himself and sells anti-government stickers at highway fairs in Kansas and Oklahoma. He follows news of the Waco siege, where President Clinton and Attorney General Janet Reno accuse the Branch Davidians of child abuse and the FBI moves in. Angered by the siege, McVeigh travels to Arkansas repeatedly to visit Richard Wayne Snell, a white supremacist and convicted murderer whose execution is set for April 19, 1995. The visits leave him certain that he must act against the government. He brings in Terry Nichols, another army veteran, to help gather what he needs for a bomb. Frédéric, a French Canadian who resides at Elohim City and has heard about his ties to Snell, approaches him.
