Plot summary

In West Hollywood, Frankie has dropped out of school to make art but spends her days at a thankless bartending job alongside her friend Jake, and her YouTube channel has no clear direction. She meets Link, an eccentric man who works as a mall mascot, and films him delivering a rambling monologue urging passersby to notice a painting; the clip becomes the most popular video on her channel. The two become friends, and Link, who says his parents are dead and calls himself anti-establishment and anti-social media, agrees to appear in more of her videos if she quits her job. Jake joins them as a writer, and the three make a satire in which Link plays a loud, offensive social media influencer, drawing the attention of a social media manager who promises money from endorsements.
