Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Lupin the Third: Italian Game (2016)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Lupin III: Italian Game was the first Lupin TV special to reuse footage from the TV series: it recycled Lupin III Part IV's episodes 1 and 3, which introduced Rebecca Rossellini and the MI-6 agent Nix, plus the episode never aired in Japan that shows how Rebecca and Lupin met.
- Because it is built on Lupin III Part IV, Italian Game is the only TV special in the franchise in which Lupin never once wears his red jacket.
- The Count of Cagliostro whose legacy the treasure comes from is the real 18th-century European Alessandro di Cagliostro, not Lazzare di Cagliostro, the villain of the 1979 film The Castle of Cagliostro.
