Lucky U Ranch (2016) on Netflix

Plot summary

Junior McCaully is going on twelve, and he has had enough. He is bullied at school, he is no good at baseball, and home is the Lucky U Ranch, a trailer court in the Arizona desert, where he lives with his hardworking mother. She knows something is wrong with him but feels powerless, and she has her own difficulty: her much older boss has proposed marriage. He is not the love of her life, but marrying him would mean leaving the Lucky U, and she weighs the offer for Junior's sake. She is not divorced from her husband, who served in the war. Then Melissa Dixon arrives, a little older than Junior, a dancer from North Hollywood who is very good at baseball.
