Love on the Slopes (2018) on Netflix

Plot summary

Alex Burns works as a copy editor for Around the World, a New York travel magazine, although she has never traveled anywhere. When editor-in-chief Peter McHugh announces a staff contest, the best article wins a cover feature, a first-class ticket and a promotion to staff writer. Peter suggests that Alex try extreme winter sports herself and write from a novice's point of view. She heads to Ridgeline, Colorado, intending to profile adventure photographer Cole Taylor, a man she has already clashed with and who thinks she is a menace on the mountain. Alex admits why she came and asks him to help her face one extreme sport after another. In return, she offers to assist with Winter Walk, an event that raises money for his charitable foundation.
