Plot summary
Gavin Rogers grew up in town, then left for New York to help run the Fortune 500 company his father Vance controls, a firm that keeps buying smaller businesses along the East Coast. Rogers & Rogers has now bought the local mall, and Gavin is sent back to sort out tenants in trouble or remove them. The most important case is Lather and Luxury, the bath and body shop that his school flame Skye Parker runs with her mother Linda; it is popular but not lucrative. His marketing ideas bring better prospects to her and to the town. Skye and Gavin agreed to keep things professional, yet the old high-school romance stirs again around them, while Vance wants Gavin back in New York quickly to close a foreign deal.
