Plot summary
Eddy, Tom, Soap and Bacon each put in £25,000 so that Eddy can sit down at a high-stakes three-card brag game run by Hatchet Harry. Eddy leaves the table owing £500,000 and has one week to pay. Harry, meanwhile, wants a pair of antique Holland & Holland shotguns that come up for auction, and his enforcer Barry the Baptist hires two thieves to lift them from an insolvent lord. Eddy learns that the gang of robbers in the flat next door plans to raid a cannabis operation kept by Winston and his friends, and he and his three friends settle on taking the proceeds off the robbers once the job is done. Tom goes to a fence called Nick the Greek to buy guns for the ambush.
