Plot summary
Amalia's husband Antonio Di Cosimo goes off to the Russian front during World War II. When no news of him arrives, she takes him for dead and marries Peppino Castagnano, a professor. The war ends, years pass, and Antonio comes home, leaving Amalia with two husbands and a choice between them. Prassede is the maid, and Nino is her fiancé.
