Plot summary
Lila Jenkins comes to Devil's Lake, North Dakota, to help greenify her sorority's old house at Laramore University, a year after her mother Tory Redding died of cancer. Ozzie Jones gives Lila a ride; he drops his phone while unloading her luggage, goes back for it, and water from the old well sprays him. The Leprechaun rises again and takes back the coin Ozzie swallowed 25 years before. Lila meets her sorority sisters: Katie, who is eco-friendly, Rose, who appoints herself their leader, and Meredith, who drinks heavily and brings along Katie's former boyfriend Andy and Matt, an aspiring filmmaker. The Leprechaun learns that without his gold his powers are weak, and resolves to kill.
