Plot summary
Bill Kincaid lectures on Plato's Socratic dialogues at Brown University, while his identical twin Brady grows and sells hydroponic cannabis in Oklahoma. Brady faces pressure from Pug Rothbaum, a local drug lord, to expand his sales, and refuses despite a debt to Rothbaum. When Bill travels to Tulsa, rival marijuana dealers who resent Brady for taking half their territory mistake him for his brother and beat him unconscious. Brady asks Bill to stand in for him while he goes upstate to settle matters with Rothbaum. Bill refuses at first, then agrees after meeting Janet, a local poet he wants to know better.
