Plot summary
Ward and June Cleaver live in an Ohio town with their sons, teenage Wally and eight-year-old Theodore, whom everyone calls Beaver. Beaver wants a bicycle displayed in a store window, and Wally's friend Eddie Haskell advises him that joining the school football team would win his father's approval. Beaver goes through practices alongside players who are larger than he is, and on his birthday he receives the bike. Ward and June ask Wally to ride with his brother to school for the first few days. Beaver's new teacher is Miss Landers. At the bike rack, an older boy offers to show him some bike tricks.
