Plot summary
Victor, a former draftsman in his sixties, has lost interest in the present day and feels his long marriage to Marianne coming apart. His son Maxime buys him an evening with Les Voyageurs du temps, a company run by Antoine that recreates a customer's chosen era through stagecraft and period detail. After Marianne throws him out of the house, Victor agrees to take part and picks the week in May 1974 when he met the woman he loved, at the La Belle Époque café in Lyon. The company restages that week for him, with Margot, an actress, taking the part of Marianne, while Antoine, a former screenwriter, insists on exact accuracy.
