Plot summary
As a child, Sasha watched her family attack and eat a clown hired for her birthday, and she has stayed away from feeding since; her fangs have not sprouted. Her parents lose patience and send her to live with her older cousin Denise, who is expected to teach her to hunt. One night Sasha sees Paul, a teenager who is about to jump from a building, but he does not. They meet again at a support group for people with suicidal thoughts; Paul is lonely and bullied by Henry, a co-worker. Sasha and Paul agree to help each other: she will help him die and then feed on him.
