Plot summary

Thomas Verniaz is a comic artist in his fifties, stuck in his work and unhappy at home. On his way back from a convention he boards the wrong train and gets off in the country town where he grew up. He has hours to wait, so he wanders past the old family house and the grave of his mother, Anna. The heat gets to him and he faints. He wakes up in 1967, fourteen years old again with his adult memories intact, in the home of his father Bruno, a tailor, with his mother and his little sister alive around him. Thomas knows that Bruno will leave the family for good a few months from now, and he wants to understand why.
