Plot summary

A grumpy sadist who made humans so he would have someone to torment, God lives in an apartment in Brussels with his meek wife and his ten-year-old daughter, Ea, and manipulates reality from the computer in his office. One day the door is left unlocked, and Ea slips in and sees on the screen how he has been making people suffer. She confronts him, and he whips her with his belt. Ea decides to rebel. Her brother Jesus, who lives hidden in the apartment as a statue, opens a tunnel through the washing machine for her. She steals the office key, takes six people's records at random, locks the computer, and sends every person on earth a message with their time of death. She enlists Victor, a homeless man, as her scribe and sets out to find six apostles.
