Plot summary
Fang Shijie was found in the garbage as a baby and raised at a kung fu school, where the principal uses him as a punchbag in morning demonstrations. An iron shirt technique keeps the punches from hurting, so the principal sends him to the streets for a night without dinner. On a park bench he meets Wang Li, a down-and-out hustler, and shows how well he can throw cans into a bin from almost ten meters. Wang Li brings him to First University's basketball team as its new star, saying he will help him search for his family.
